Fatal Calumet County crash deaths of Ronald and Nancy Woelfel – Obituary
Ronald Woelfel, 73, and his wife Nancy Woelfel, 70, both residents of the Town of New Holstein, lost their lives in a head-on collision last week in Calumet County, according to the local sheriff’s office.
Authorities reported that the couple was traveling south in a pickup truck when they collided head-on with an SUV driven by 57-year-old Vicky Fesing of the Town of Chilton. Fesing remains in critical condition at Ascension Chilton Medical Center as of the latest update.
The crash occurred on Highway 32/57, roughly midway between Chilton and New Holstein. Investigators have not yet determined who was at fault or what led to the collision. However, both vehicles were discovered in the southbound lane.
Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the incident.
