Fatal Howard County motorcycle crash death of Domingo Rios – Obituary
A 76-year-old motorcyclist lost his life following a collision in Howard County on Wednesday afternoon.
The Texas Department of Public Safety identified the victim as Domingo Rios of Big Spring. The crash occurred around 3:46 p.m. on March 5 at the intersection of US 87 and Driver Road.
According to investigators, a Dodge Ram 2500, driven by 23-year-old Kenneth Leatherwood of Snyder, was traveling southwest in the turning lane on South US Highway 87. While making a left turn onto Driver Road, he reportedly failed to yield the right of way to Rios.
Rios, who was wearing a helmet at the time, was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Leatherwood was uninjured in the incident.
