A 42-year-old man lost his life after his vehicle veered off the road and plunged down an embankment in Palmdale.
Authorities identified the victim as Abraham Cervantes, though his city of residence was not disclosed by the Medical Examiner’s Office.
The crash occurred Friday night at approximately 9:47 p.m. near Juniper Ridge Road and Angeles Forest Highway. When California Highway Patrol officers arrived, they discovered a black Honda Civic about 50 feet down the embankment, with Cervantes lying outside the vehicle.
The circumstances leading to the accident remain unclear, and investigators are working to determine the cause.
