Authorities are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man and a woman who were present near the scene where 66-year-old Cuauhtemoc Garcia Zuniga was fatally shot in Cerritos.
The shooting occurred around 12:30 p.m. on February 25 near the Coyote Creek Riverbed, west of Carmenita Road, according to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau and the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner.
Emergency responders from the Los Angeles County Fire Department pronounced Zuniga dead at the scene.
On Friday, investigators released a bulletin featuring a surveillance image of a man and woman seen in the vicinity at the time of the incident.
Fox 11 reported that Zuniga, a businessman, had been walking for exercise when he was shot.
