Fatal Londonderry police shooting death of Calvin M. Ly-Bishop – Obituary

Calvin M. Ly-Bishop, a 23-year-old Bedford man, was fatally shot by police Wednesday afternoon following a shootout in Londonderry, New Hampshire.

Authorities say Ly-Bishop fired a weapon into the Planet Fitness on Orchard View Drive before fleeing the scene. Officers arrived to secure the area and ensure no one inside the gym was injured.

A short time later, Ly-Bishop was located about half a mile away on Winding Pond Road near Lincoln Drive. According to the Attorney General’s Office, a confrontation ensued, leading to an exchange of gunfire between Ly-Bishop and police. During the shootout, officers shot and killed him.

Officials have not reported any other injuries related to the incident. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to determine the circumstances leading up to the shooting.
