Debra Kay-Larson Cizinski, 72, of Minneapolis, was tragically killed in a pedestrian accident outside the Shoppes at Knollwood shopping mall on December 13, 2024. At around 1:30 p.m., Cizinski was struck by an SUV after the driver, an 81-year-old Minneapolis woman, reported that her vehicle unexpectedly accelerated when she attempted to turn it off. Despite efforts by first responders to save her, Cizinski was declared dead at the scene. The driver remained at the scene and provided a statement to police. No intoxication was detected, and the investigation is ongoing.
