Fatal Berkeley County hit-and-run crash death of Gabriel N. Lazo – Obituary
Authorities have identified 26-year-old Gabriel N. Lazo of Goose Creek as the victim of a deadly hit-and-run crash that occurred Thursday night in Berkeley County, South Carolina.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash happened on Liberty Hall Road near Snapper Court. Lazo was traveling north on his 2024 Kawasaki motorcycle when he veered into the southbound lane and was struck by an oncoming vehicle. The driver of the second vehicle fled the scene.
Emergency responders from Goose Creek Police, the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office, Goose Creek Rural Fire & Rescue, and Berkeley County EMS arrived at the crash site, but Lazo was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities are actively searching for the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run and are urging anyone with information to contact the South Carolina Highway Patrol at 803-896-9621.
