Fatal Apple Valley car crash death of Salvador Ramirez Rojas – Obituary
Authorities have identified 79-year-old Salvador Ramirez Rojas of Sun Valley as the victim of a deadly crash on the northbound 15 Freeway in Apple Valley on February 22, 2025.
The accident occurred around 6:12 a.m. near Dale Evans Parkway when a white 2019 Audi Q5 veered off the road and rolled multiple times. Emergency responders were alerted through an iPhone crash detection alert, with dispatchers reporting sounds of distress in the background of the call.
Upon arrival, crews discovered the vehicle severely damaged in a desert area off the freeway. According to reports from the California Highway Patrol, the Audi rolled over seven times before coming to a stop.
Firefighters worked to rescue the driver and two passengers who sustained critical injuries. A fourth individual had less severe injuries. Two medical helicopters were dispatched to airlift the critically injured victims to a trauma center, while the other injured person was taken by ambulance to St. Mary’s Medical Center in Apple Valley.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and authorities have not yet provided further details.
