Fatal Globe, Arizona homicide death of Emily Pike – Obituary
Authorities in Arizona have confirmed that human remains discovered earlier this month belong to 14-year-old Emily Pike, a Native American girl who had been missing since late January.
The Gila County Sheriff’s Office reported that Emily, a member of the San Carlos Apache Tribe, was last seen on January 27 near Mesa Drive and McKellips Road. Her body was found on February 14 in a wooded area near U.S. 60, a few miles from the Jackson Butte Recreation Area. Investigators described the scene as particularly gruesome, with her remains found dismembered in contractor trash bags. While her head, torso, and legs were recovered, her arms and hands have not yet been located.
Preliminary autopsy findings indicate she had suffered significant trauma to her face and head. The Gila County Sheriff’s Office is leading the homicide investigation as authorities work to determine what led to her tragic death.
Her remains were found approximately 20 miles northeast of Globe, Arizona.
