An 18-year-old, identified as Eric Guerrero, lost his life in a tragic crash that took place on February 21, 2025, in Garland, Texas. The incident occurred just before 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of Garland Avenue and Stratford Drive. Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered that one of the vehicle’s occupants had been ejected and had died from the injuries sustained in the crash.
According to the Garland Police Department, preliminary investigations suggest that the crash involved two vehicles—one traveling eastbound on Stratford Drive and the other heading south on Garland Avenue. The collision took place when the vehicle on Stratford entered the intersection with Garland Avenue. Each vehicle had three individuals onboard, and the five survivors, ranging in age from 16 to 22, were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Investigators found evidence suggesting alcohol may have been involved in the crash. However, the authorities have stated that the investigation is still ongoing as they work to determine whether impairment played any role in the fatal accident. The identities of the other passengers have not yet been disclosed.
