Philadelphia, PA – 3 people shot during dispute at Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl Parade

Three people were shot in the Spring Garden neighbourhood on Friday afternoon as thousands of people gathered throughout the city for the championship parade, tainting the celebration of the Philadelphia Eagles’ Super Bowl LIX victory.

The incident happened near roughly 23rd and Spring Garden Streets, according to the Philadelphia Police Department.

One of the victims, a lady, was wounded in the left leg and was taken to a nearby hospital; her condition is now classified as stable.

The second female victim, also suffering a gunshot wound to the leg, is receiving treatment at the hospital and is in stable condition as well.

A third victim has been identified, but has not yet arrived at the hospital due to heavy traffic congestion caused by the parade. Officials have not released further details on this individual’s condition.

At this time, authorities have not determined the circumstances leading up to the shooting. It remains unclear whether the violence was directly related to the parade celebrations or if it stemmed from a separate altercation.

The Philadelphia Police Department has launched an investigation and is actively working to identify potential suspects.

As of yet, no arrests or persons of interest have been reported by law enforcement.

Eagles supporters have poured into Philadelphia’s streets in celebration of the team’s victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX.

As sizable crowds continue to assemble across the city, the shooting has sparked worries about public safety.

In an effort to protect the safety of people taking part in the festivities, authorities are asking anyone with information on the incident to come forward. There will be updates as the inquiry develops.
