William Ballew dies in fatal Mayo Road house fire
Fatal Mayo Road house fire death of William Ballew – Obituary
William Ballew, 89, lost his life Tuesday evening in a house fire that occurred in the 300 block of Mayo Road, just south of Flournoy-Lucas Road in Shreveport.
The fire was reported shortly before 8:30 p.m., and the Caddo Parish Coroner confirmed that Ballew was pronounced dead at the scene.
This was the second fatal fire in Shreveport that day, occurring just over 12 hours after another deadly fire claimed the life of a local woman. Both incidents remain under investigation as authorities work to determine the causes of the blazes.
