A tragic road accident occurred on the border between Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, resulting in the death of 30-year-old Rahul Ahirwar.
The accident took place when Rahul, who was traveling to Delhi for work, was struck by an unidentified vehicle while crossing the road.
Villagers immediately reported the incident to the Harpalpur police station in Madhya Pradesh, but the officers claimed that the area fell under Uttar Pradesh’s jurisdiction.
Similarly, Uttar Pradesh police refused to intervene, citing it as a responsibility of Madhya Pradesh authorities.
As a result, locals protested by blocking the road and leaving the body at the site. The Madhya Pradesh police eventually retrieved the body four hours later and sent it for a post-mortem.
The victim’s family, devastated by the lack of immediate action, has demanded that the responsible vehicle be identified and appropriate measures be taken. Rahul had recently married and was heading to Delhi to work as a laborer.
