Fatal Palisades snowplow crash death of Matthew Ishino – Obituary
On December 14th, Matthew Ishino, 66, from Shelley, lost his life in a tragic crash involving a snowplow near Palisades Reservoir.
The collision occurred at approximately 2:15 p.m. on U.S. Highway 26 at milepost 391. Ishino, driving a 2018 Jeep Renegade eastbound, crossed the center line and collided with a westbound snowplow.
The impact caused Ishino to suffer critical injuries, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, a 67-year-old woman, was transported to a nearby hospital, with her condition remaining unknown.
The driver of the snowplow, a 48-year-old man from Swan Valley, was not reported to have sustained any injuries. Authorities confirmed that everyone involved was wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.
