Charleston Businesses Offer Cycling-Themed Products for Pro Road National Championships

CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Local businesses are showing their support for the USA Cycling Pro Road National Championships presented by Spilman Thomas & Battle coming to Charleston May 19-26.  In preparation for this huge event, several local businesses have developed cycling-themed products, including shirts, jewelry, ice cream, and beer.

Handcrafted in store, Petit Jewelry Designs created a pendant celebrating the 2025 races. This silver piece can be worn on a necklace or charm bracelet or modified to wear as a pin. Petit is located at 914 Bridge Road in the South Hills neighborhood.

Buck & Bette’s 2024 race t-shirt was so popular, the store had to create a new one for 2025! This year’s Buck & Bette design features Charleston as Bike City with representations of the Schoenbaum Stage at Haddad Riverfront Park and the Capitol Dome.  Buck & Bette is located at 123 Summers Street.

Starting Sunday, May 18, Ellen’s Homemade Ice Cream is offering a sweet treat for cycling enthusiasts. The “Charleston Criterium Crunch” is peanut butter ice cream with chopped SNICKERS® and whole peanuts. Pick up a cone at Ellen’s table at the Expo at City Center or drop by the store at 225 Capitol Street to get a sundae complete with warm caramel sauce,  SNICKERS® topping, whipped cream, and a patriotic garnish. While you’re enjoying this delicious concoction, grab your phone, go online and vote for Ellen’s in the USA Today’s Best Ice Cream Shop competition.

Bad Shepherd Beer’s “Bridge Rhoadie” is a special-edition brew inspired by Alison Bibbee’s “Mountains in Motion” painting that shows riders crossing the iconic South Side Bridge. This limited release features Bibbee’s artwork on the label and blends local flavor with community storytelling. Bridge Rhoadie will be available at restaurants, bars, and retailers throughout the valley. Black Sheep Burritos & Brews will also offer The Ratler, a refreshing fruity beer-based concoction loved by the cycling community. Black Sheep Burrito and Brews is located at 702 Quarrier Street.

Additional Charleston businesses have created cycling-themed products, including

  • Fife Street Brewing, located at 180 Summers Street, offers cycling-themed beer and t-shirts.
  • Yarid’s, at 1005 Bridge Road, has cycling-themed t-shirts.
