Popular restaurant on Bardstown Road in Louisville closes after 12 years in business

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — The Joy Luck permanently closed its two locations in Louisville this month, according to our partners at Business First.

The Asian fusion restaurant announced the closing of its east Louisville location March 1, and the flagship location on Bardstown Road in the Cherokee Triangle neighborhood, which opened in 2013, has closed since then.

The owners haven’t replied to a request for comment but posted on Facebook to announce the closure.

“To our cherished customers, friends, team (past and present) and community: THANK YOU for being part of our story. The heartfelt memories, laughter, and connections we’ve shared will forever hold a special place in our hearts,” the post says. “While it’s time to close this chapter, we’re filled with gratitude and excitement for what’s ahead. Thank you for your love and support over the years. This isn’t a farewell; it’s “see you soon!”
