A tragic fire at a mobile home park in Fairfield County on Saturday morning has claimed the lives of two people.
The fire broke out at approximately 6:50 a.m. on March 8 at a mobile home on Sycamore and Hemlock Streets, near Columbus-Lancaster Road NW, in Greenfield Township. Emergency responders pulled Juanita Shaeffer, 81, and Michael Shaeffer, 56, from the blaze, but both were later pronounced dead at Fairfield Medical Center.
The Ohio State Fire Marshal and the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office are working together to determine the cause of the fire.
Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office at (740) 652-7900.
