Fatal Bamberg County car crash death of Daymen Nickolas Hiott – Obituary

A 23-year-old man lost his life in a single-vehicle accident early Saturday morning in Bamberg County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

 

The crash occurred at approximately 5 a.m. on U.S. Highway 78 near McKenna Lane, just outside Denmark. Authorities reported that a 2010 Hyundai was traveling westbound when it veered off the right side of the road, striking a mailbox. The vehicle then swerved back onto the roadway before going off to the left and colliding with a tree.

 

Daymen Nickolas Hiott, a Blackville resident who previously lived in Walterboro, was identified as the victim by Bamberg County Coroner Shawn Hanks.

 

The South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Bamberg County Coroner’s Office are continuing to investigate the incident.
