Fatal Crown Point, IN homicide death of Daniel Ramos-Rivas – Obituary
On the morning of March 1, 2025, a cleanup crew working on I-65 near Crown Point discovered the body of a man lying in a ditch. The victim was later identified as 23-year-old Daniel Ramos-Rivas, a Venezuelan national who had most recently lived in Tillamook County, Oregon.
Indiana State Police confirmed that his death was ruled a homicide. Two suspects have been apprehended by the FBI in Seattle, although no charges have been filed against them yet. Investigators have located Ramos-Rivas’ family, and the investigation is ongoing.
