Fatal Tucson shooting death of Uriel Alejandro Hermosillo-Gomez – Obituary

Authorities have identified 29-year-old Uriel Alejandro Hermosillo-Gomez as the victim of a fatal shooting that took place Tuesday morning on Tucson’s southwest side.

 

The incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. in the 2000 block of West Canada Street, near the intersection of South Mission and West Drexel roads. Law enforcement officers responded to reports of gunfire and discovered Hermosillo-Gomez at the scene with life-threatening injuries.

 

Deputies conducted a search of the area based on an initial description of the suspect, but as of Thursday, no arrests had been made in connection with the case.

 

Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact 911 or submit an anonymous tip through 88-CRIME as they continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
