On March 4, 2025, at approximately 6:30 p.m., deputies from the Kern County Sheriff’s Office responded to Virginia Avenue Park to investigate a case involving 42-year-old Homero Rosales Corona of Bakersfield.
During the encounter, a deputy-involved shooting occurred, resulting in Corona’s death at the scene.
