Fatal Colorado Springs bus crash death of Charles Verderaime – Obituary
A bus crash near the Broadmoor World Arena in Colorado Springs on Feb. 27 resulted in the death of 67-year-old Charles Verderaime, an employee of the arena.
Authorities from the Colorado Springs Police Department responded to the accident at the intersection of Bob Johnson Drive and Willwood Road at approximately 11:54 a.m. Upon arrival, officers determined that Verderaime had been struck and run over by a bus. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The El Paso County Coroner’s Office conducted an autopsy the following day and confirmed Verderaime’s identity.
The Broadmoor World Arena acknowledged Verderaime’s passing and confirmed his role as a team member. The incident remains under investigation.
