Fatal Moses Lake accidental shooting death of Estephan T. Espino – Obituary
Estephan T. Espino, 18, lost his life in an accidental shooting that occurred late Thursday night in Moses Lake.
Authorities responded to a call at 519 Dale Road around 11:30 p.m. regarding reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, officers found Espino suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators determined that the firearm involved was a .22 caliber AR-style long rifle. The shooting was described as an incident involving “someone playing with the gun.” The suspected shooter, a 22-year-old individual, has not been publicly identified, and no arrests have been made at this time.
Police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
