Fatal Fulton County crash death of Roberta Workman – Obituary
Roberta Workman, 92, of Astoria, tragically passed away following a multi-vehicle collision on Monday afternoon in Fulton County.
The crash occurred around 3:42 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. Route 24 and Bucher Road, involving two passenger cars and a commercial vehicle.
Emergency responders arrived to find Workman dead at the scene, while two others were transported to local hospitals with injuries.
An autopsy conducted by the Fulton County Coroner’s Office confirmed that Workman died from injuries sustained in the crash. She had been a passenger in one of the vehicles involved.
The incident is under investigation by both the Illinois State Police and the Fulton County Coroner’s Office. Astoria, a small town with a population of around 900, is located 60 miles southwest of Peoria.
