Fatal Merced County crash death of Javier Delgado Garcia – Obituary
Javier Delgado Garcia, 17, of Merced County, tragically passed away following a crash into a canal on February 15, 2025.
Garcia was driving a 2016 Nissan Altima with a 16-year-old female passenger when the vehicle veered off Snelling Road, crashed through a fence, and became submerged in a canal.
Rescue teams extricated both individuals, and Garcia was transported to Mercy Medical Center before being flown to Valley Children’s Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries the next day. The crash remains under investigation.
