Fatal Fresno pedestrian crash death of Hubert Hsu – Obituary

17-year-old Hubert Hsu from Fresno tragically passed away after being struck by a vehicle on Tuesday night, February 25, 2025. The incident occurred at around 7:21 p.m. at the intersection of Bethel and Almond avenues. The Fresno County Coroner’s Office later confirmed his identity.

Hsu, along with another 17-year-old girl, was walking across the street when they were hit by a vehicle traveling north on Bethel Avenue. The driver remained at the scene and was cooperative with authorities.

Hsu was taken to Community Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The female pedestrian, whose condition was critical, was later reported as stable by Wednesday morning.

Both Hsu and the girl were students at Sanger High School. The school district expressed their condolences, offering full support to the affected families during this difficult time. Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
