Fatal Apple Valley car crash death of Salvador Ramirez Rojas – Obituary
Authorities have identified 79-year-old Salvador Ramirez Rojas of Sun Valley as the passenger who lost his life in a rollover crash on the northbound 15 Freeway in Apple Valley.
The accident happened early Saturday morning, February 22, 2025, near Dale Evans Parkway. According to reports, a white 2019 Audi Q5 veered off the roadway around 6:12 a.m., flipping multiple times before coming to a stop in a desert area.
Emergency crews were alerted after an iPhone TC alert detected the crash, with dispatchers reporting faint sounds of a woman moaning in the background. Upon arrival, first responders found the heavily damaged vehicle and began rescue efforts. Firefighters worked to free the critically injured driver and one passenger, while a fourth occupant sustained less severe injuries.
Two of the injured were airlifted to a trauma center, while the less seriously hurt individual was taken by ambulance to St. Mary’s Medical Center in Apple Valley.
The California Highway Patrol has yet to determine the cause of the crash, and an investigation remains ongoing.
