Fatal Augusta County crash death of Mark E. Lotts – Obituary
A deadly crash on Tinkling Spring Road in Augusta County claimed the life of 67-year-old Mark E. Lotts of Stuarts Draft on February 27, 2025.
According to Virginia State Police, the accident occurred at 12:20 p.m. when Lotts was driving his 2001 BMW 325I southbound. He crossed the center line and collided with a 2017 Dodge Ram 2500 traveling northbound. After the impact, Lotts’ vehicle went off the right side of the road.
The driver of the pickup, 26-year-old Kevin L. Harris of Stuarts Draft, was hospitalized with serious injuries at UVA Health. Police noted that Harris was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
