Authorities have identified 18-year-old Eric Guerrero as the victim of a deadly car crash that took place late on February 21, 2025, in Garland, Texas.
According to the Garland Police Department, the collision happened shortly before 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of Garland Avenue and Stratford Drive. Officers arrived at the scene to find that one person had been ejected from a vehicle and had died from their injuries. Guerrero was later confirmed as the deceased.
Investigators determined that one vehicle had been traveling east on Stratford Drive while another was heading south on Garland Avenue. The crash occurred when the Stratford Drive vehicle entered Garland Avenue. Each car carried three passengers, and the five survivors, ranging in age from 16 to 22, were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Authorities discovered evidence of alcohol at the crash site, but the investigation remains ongoing to determine whether impairment was a contributing factor. The identities of the other individuals involved have not yet been released.
