Fatal Brandon standoff death of Abe Joseph Boushee – Obituary
Abe Joseph Boushee, 43, of Brandon, South Dakota, died following an hours-long standoff with law enforcement on February 12, 2025.
Authorities attempted to serve an arrest warrant at his residence, where Boushee fired on officers, leading to a tense standoff. After several hours, law enforcement deployed chemical agents, and a fire later broke out at the home.
Boushee’s body was found inside the residence. He had outstanding felony warrants for drug offenses, firearms violations, and bond violations. An autopsy and investigation into the cause of the fire are underway.
