Fatal Jones County, Iowa crash death of Jimmy Kent Offen – Obituary
Authorities have confirmed the death of 77-year-old Jimmy Kent Offen, a Martelle resident, in a tragic car accident on Wednesday morning.
The incident occurred along Highway 151 near Basham Lane when Offen, driving a Ford Ranger, lost control of his vehicle while traveling west. As a result, his truck veered across the median and collided head-on with a Chevy Impala.
Offen succumbed to his injuries, while the driver of the Impala was injured and transported to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for treatment.
