Enrique Barajas dies in fatal Long Beach hit-and-run crash
Fatal Long Beach hit-and-run incident claims the life of 80-year-old Enrique Barajas – Obituary
Enrique Barajas, 80, was tragically killed in a hit-and-run crash while riding his bicycle in Long Beach. The incident occurred on January 20 near Atlantic Avenue and Pleasant Street at approximately 12:15 p.m., according to the Long Beach Police Department.
Investigators determined that Barajas was cycling northbound on Atlantic Avenue when he moved into another lane. At that moment, a white SUV traveling in the same direction struck him and fled the scene without stopping.
Barajas was transported to the hospital in critical condition but sadly succumbed to his injuries the following day.
