Gerard Miles dies in fatal Williamsport pedestrian accident
Fatal Williamsport pedestrian accident death of Gerard Miles – Obituary
A 52-year-old man, identified as Gerard Miles from Williamsport, tragically lost his life in a pedestrian accident on Sunday night.
The incident occurred just before 10 p.m. on Washington Blvd near Ward St. Miles, who was crossing the street from the south side, was struck by an eastbound vehicle.
Authorities noted that he was wearing dark-colored clothing and was reportedly under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.
Miles suffered severe head and chest injuries and was rushed to the Trauma Center at UPMC Susquehanna, where he underwent emergency surgery.
Despite efforts to save him, he passed away in the ICU at 2:28 a.m. on Monday.
The investigation into the accident is still ongoing. Our condolences go out to his family and loved ones during this difficult time.
