Authorities have confirmed that 44-year-old Valeros Sanders from Smyrna, Tennessee, lost his life in a tractor-trailer accident on Interstate 24 in Christian County.
The crash took place Tuesday morning when Sanders’ vehicle veered off the roadway at the 86-mile marker while entering the westbound lanes, causing the truck to overturn.
The tractor-trailer, which was transporting trash at the time of the incident, overturned, resulting in Sanders’ death at the scene. The Christian County Coroner’s Office pronounced him deceased shortly after the accident. His identity was publicly released following notification of his family.
The tragic incident occurred shortly before 11 a.m.
