Fatal Kannapolis shooting death of Khari Wilkes – Obituary
Khari Wilkes, 28, was fatally shot Monday evening in a parking lot on Pine Hills Lane near South Little Texas Road in Kannapolis, N.C. The incident occurred around 6 p.m., and officers arrived to find Wilkes with a gunshot wound.
Wilkes was immediately transported to Northeast Medical Center, but he succumbed to his injuries. Authorities have identified two male suspects who fled the scene on foot and are actively searching for them.
The investigation remains ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to contact the Kannapolis Police Department.
