Fatal Fort Worth shooting death of Henry Antonio Cordero – Obituary

Henry Antonio Cordero, 37, was fatally shot on December 23 outside his residence on Sanborn Street in Fort Worth. According to court documents, the suspect, 18-year-old Isaac Garcia, allegedly used Cordero’s own firearm in the incident.

 

Police were called to the scene around 9:20 p.m. and found Cordero lying on the ground with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Witnesses reported that Cordero and Garcia had been drinking and listening to music in the front yard before the shooting occurred.

 

A witness told investigators that Garcia briefly went inside the house and returned, obtaining possession of Cordero’s gun before firing.

Surveillance footage reportedly captured the altercation, showing a person walking into the yard, followed by a flash of light and the sound of gunfire. The video also shows a struggle before one person fled the scene.

 

Garcia was apprehended nearby by officers and is being held in the Tarrant County Jail on a $300,000 bond. The investigation into the fatal shooting is ongoing.
