Fatal Ipswich death of William McNicholl – Obituary
A 63-year-old man, William McNicholl, was found dead at an address on Hawthorn Drive, Ipswich, on January 1, just before 6pm. Suffolk Police have confirmed that the death is being treated as a murder inquiry.
They are investigating a week-long period, from December 24 to January 1, and are urging anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area during that time to come forward.
Known locally as Billy, McNicholl’s identity was confirmed following a post-mortem examination, which revealed that he died from multiple injuries.
The investigation remains ongoing as detectives work to determine the circumstances surrounding his death.
