Adams County Coroner James Lee has identified 24-year-old Keyuan King of Natchez as the victim of a deadly New Year’s Eve shooting on Finger Lane late Tuesday night. King succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds, according to Lee.
The incident occurred around 9:48 p.m. on Finger Lane, near Lower Woodville Road. Several other individuals were reportedly injured in the gunfire. King’s body has been sent to the State Crime Lab for an autopsy as the investigation continues.
Coroner Lee expressed deep sorrow for the tragic loss, noting the profound grief of King’s parents. “This was horrible,” he said. “These types of shootings cannot become the norm. We must find a way to stop this cycle of violence in Adams County.”
Authorities are working to gather more information about the shooting.
