Kendra Dorby Mottley, 44, tragically lost her life on Christmas night in a motorcycle crash in northeast Austin.
According to the Austin Police Department (APD), the crash occurred around 8:30 p.m. on December 24 in the 6800 block of U.S. Highway 290, when Mottley collided with a pedestrian. Both victims were treated at the scene for critical injuries but were later pronounced dead.
This marks the city’s 92nd fatal crash of the year and the 99th fatality. The investigation is still ongoing, and further details are subject to change. The identity of the second victim remains unconfirmed at this time.
