Fatal Huntsville shooting death of Leah Jones – Obituary
Leah Jones, 37, was tragically killed in a Christmas Day shooting in Huntsville, Alabama. The incident occurred around 2:00 p.m. in the 3200 block of Uvalde Lane. Huntsville Police responded to reports of an active shooting and discovered Jones with gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to police, witnesses indicated that a suspect fled the area on foot. Despite deploying a K-9 unit to track the individual, no arrests have been made. Madison County Coroner Dr. Tyler H. Berryhill has ruled the death a homicide.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities continue to seek information about the suspect’s identity and whereabouts.
