Teofilo Ivan Granada,Carlos Andres Jaime Obituary, Death; – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has published the results of its initial investigation into a deadly collision that occurred just north of Laredo on Sunday, December 22.
The incident, involving two vehicles, took place around 8 p.m. near mile marker 24 on Interstate 35 in Webb County, approximately 11 miles north of the Laredo city limits. As reported by DPS, a black 2012 Audi SUV was traveling south in the northbound lanes when it collided head-on with a gray 2014 Mazda that was heading north.
The driver of the Mazda, identified as 32-year-old Teofilo Ivan Granada, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Audi, 28-year-old Carlos Andres Jaime, succumbed to his injuries at a hospital in Laredo.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing, according to DPS.
