Fatal Leeds shooting death of Luis Enrique Herrera-Valenciana – Obituary

Luis Enrique Herrera-Valenciana, 25, was shot and killed on December 18 in Leeds, Alabama. Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Morgan Street around 12:55 p.m., where they found Herrera-Valenciana deceased at a residence from a gunshot wound.

Along with Herrera-Valenciana, a woman also suffered a gunshot wound to her torso and was rushed to UAB Hospital in critical condition.

Authorities have taken the suspected shooter into custody at the scene, and it is believed the incident stemmed from a domestic dispute. The Leeds Police Department is urging anyone with additional information to come forward.
