Fatal Greensboro pedestrian crash death of Larry Gibson – Obituary
Larry Gibson, 71, tragically lost his life in a deadly crash in Greensboro on Thursday, December 19, 2024.
Around 9 a.m., 19-year-old Princess Alston was driving a Chevrolet on Summit Avenue when she swerved into the northbound lanes and struck Gibson, who was walking on the shoulder. Following the impact, Alston’s vehicle hit a utility pole. Gibson was pronounced dead at the scene from his injuries.
Alston was not injured in the crash and has been charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle, driving left of center, and simple possession of a controlled substance.
The Greensboro Police Department’s Crash Reconstruction Unit is handling the investigation.
