Larry Gibson dies in fatal Greensboro pedestrian accident
Fatal Greensboro pedestrian death of Larry Gibson – Obituary.
Larry Gibson, 71, tragically passed away after being struck by a vehicle on Summit Avenue in Greensboro on December 19, 2024. The incident occurred around 9 a.m. when 19-year-old Princess Alston, driving a Chevrolet, swerved left of center and struck Gibson, who was walking along the shoulder of the road. The vehicle then collided with a utility pole. Gibson succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Alston, who was uninjured, has been charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle, driving left of center, and possession of a controlled substance. The Greensboro Police Department’s Crash Reconstruction Unit is handling the investigation.
