Fatal Luzerne County head-on crash death of Helen C. Grube – Obituary
Helen C. Grube, 79, of Blakeslee, tragically passed away following a head-on collision in Buck Township, Luzerne County, on Tuesday, December 19, 2024.
The crash occurred shortly before 10 a.m. on state Route 115, just south of Ridgeway Avenue. According to state police, a southbound vehicle driven by Jeanette L. Chappell, 47, of Mountain Top, swerved into the northbound lane, striking Grube’s car head-on.
Grube was pronounced dead at the scene. Chappell sustained serious injuries and was transported to Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center for emergency treatment.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
